Day 10 of the 12 Days for Good – TOLERANCE

December 18 Tolerance

I think we have all been guilty of reacting to a situation, possibly saying words that we didn’t mean, instead of fully listening, absorbing the information and responding calmly.

One of the hardest things to do is stop talking and just listen.  People need to feel truly heard and by giving your undivided attention you are giving an amazing gift!

We are all different, but our voices are all important.  This doesn’t mean we all need to agree, but a respect should be given to let our voices be heard.

So, lets listen.  Let go of preconceived notions and ego and hear the needs of our community.  You will never get this day back so make the most of every, single day!

I wasn’t sure how to give to our community, but realized as I listened to school kids laugh and scream at recess time, they are prepared by being properly dressed as the weather dips down, the snow piles up and fun is the objective.

However, there are many people that will be ill equipped for winter.  So, donating hats, mits, socks and scarves will be on my to do list tomorrow!

Always keep an open heart, keep your body healthy and live each day to the fullest!

“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
― Mother Teresa

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
― Winston Churchill

Cheers to great health!
