Day 8 of the 12 days for good – SOLIDARITY
What can you do? How can you join forces with your friends and family to create a spirit of unity?
Friday is a PD day for the kids, so my kids and I are going to make dark chocolate almond bark and deliver it to our friends and family. Life gets so busy and it is so important to slow down and be thankful for what we have and remember all the amazing people that make life so great!
Coming together as a community is important and worth putting effort into.
I love finding new recipes to make! So, I wanted to share this recipe for dark chocolate almond bark I found with all of you!
Here you go….
20 oz of dark chocolate (55% cacao or higher)
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup shredded coconut, lightly toasted
Line tray with wax paper.
Lightly toast the coconut and set aside.
Gently melt the chocolate, mix in almond extract and almonds.
Spread mixture on sheet and sprinkle evenly with coconut.
Place in freezer for 30 minutes.
Take out of freezer and break chocolate into pieces.
Cheers to great health!
